Beer Garden

It might be Falkirk’s best-kept secret.

The pub’s beer garden is a walled suntrap, right in the heart of the town. It’s beautiful all year round, but comes into its best between May and September, and is a major attraction to tourists, regulars and people dropping in on a sunny day to enjoy the atmosphere.

The garden has ample seating and is carefully tended by Brian Shiels, a Wheatsheaf regular, who has assembled stunning displays of plants and flowers, making the garden a relaxing and colourful place.

And you don’t have to worry about going through to the bar to get served – just ring the bell at the hatch and one of the staff will be happy to help.

On sunny days which coincide with local bands and singers performing, we’ll take the buzz outside and have our own mini-music festival.
